Community powered Campaign for Dickson

Seven new large roadside billboards have shot up around the Federal seat of Dickson, offering voters integrity and an independent voice in Canberra.

The billboards are part of the community backed campaign to elect Independent candidate Ellie Smith as their new representative for Dickson.

Ellie Smith was chosen as the community backed independent candidate following a nine month grassroots movement led by the Dickson Decides group.

Ellie Smith said:

“Over the past nine months, we conducted community surveys, held policy forums and had hundreds of face to face conversations.

“People in Dickson want an independent voice in Canberra. Someone who will support and advocate for them; not a political party or faction.

“They want someone to listen and fight for them; not their own career path and self interest.

“Our own research shows that almost one in three voters in Dickson are aware they can now choose a genuine community independent candidate to represent them.

“That’s an incredible show of support in such a short space of time. Momentum is building and I won’t stop working to bring a positive change for Dickson.”
