Summary
Since being elected in October 2025, I’ve focused on getting out and about in the Division to listen to the community’s needs. I have been developing a deep understanding of the roles and functions within Council to progress community priorities and advocate for positive change.
Some priorities have seen real progress. Others remain works in progress and will take years rather than months to achieve. This report card reflects both the advocacy and outcomes achieved so far.

Key Wins
- Around 10 mobile offices held across Narangba, Samford, Dayboro, Mount Pleasant and Samsonvale.
- Improved communication through newsletters, social media updates and community engagement.
- Stronger relationships established with community groups, sporting clubs, environmental volunteers and residents’ associations.
- O’Mara Road upgrade and Youngs Crossing Road / Oakey Flat Road intersection upgrade progressing.
- Missing active transport link at Jinibara State School completed and Dayboro active transport bridge funded and progressing.
- Ongoing support for community events and activation of Old Petrie Town.
- Continued advocacy and involvement in the new Planning Scheme Review.
- Active involvement in climate action, sustainability, and waste planning initiatives as portfolio councillor.
Areas Requiring Further Progress
- Public and active transport improvements, congestion, and road safety.
- Housing affordability and homelessness responses.
- Long-term solutions to congestion around the Narangba level crossing.
- Establishment of a Youth Advisory Committee.

While there is still much more to do, I am proud of the relationships built, the groundwork laid, and the progress made in my first year as your councillor.
